Please join GAOR’s YPN committee members on a summer hike in the hills of Glendale’s. Take in vistas of the city of Glendale, downtown L.A. and The Valley. Meet up with us at the trail head at the Brand Library. The trail head is just behind the library’s parking lot.
The hike can be strenuous yet suitable for people in any condition. It being August, we are planning for sunny weather, and a hot summer day can take its toll. Hence, the starting time of 7:00 .a.m.
Still unsure? Not to worry. Take it at your own pace. Take the trail as far as you like and make an about-face when you’ve reached your threshold. The trail is wide and trafficked by many day-hikers.
Be sure to…
- Wear a pair of hiking shoes with good tread; boots are not necessary.
- Apply plenty of sunscreen
- Carry plenty of water.
- Bring a snack
Maria Howard will be leading this hike.
Plan on meeting Maria and others in front of the Brand Library.
We look forward to re-connecting with you all in the great outdoors.
