All are invited to the Glendale Police Department’s “Introduction to the Neighborhood Watch” meeting on Wednesday, May 12, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The meeting will be held virtually through WebEx. It is recommended to join 5-10 mins before the start of the meeting time to eliminate any last min technical issues.
The Neighborhood Watch program is a crime prevention effort to help Glendale residents make their neighborhood safer by partnering with the Glendale Police Department. They will highlight some of these program benefits:
- Reduce the risk of becoming a victim of crime
- Help Glendale residents recognize and respond appropriately to suspicious activity
- Learn about crime trends in their neighborhood
- Reduce the fear of crime and make the neighborhood feel safer
- Address other areas of concern—fire prevention, teen safety, travel safety, more
- Meet the designated lead offer who serves their neighborhood area
- Ultimately, build an effective partnership with the Glendale Police Department
