Our Association along with Burbank and Pasadena engaged a highly respected research firm, Beacon Economics, to do a study on the impact of real estate on the local economy. Real estate activity in the tri-city generates over $675 million to the economy. Nearly 3,000 jobs in the are supported by real estate, generating income of nearly $213 million. Our Government Affairs Director Greg Astorian and I presented this study to the Glendale City Council last night. This report presents the sizable role of the real estate industry in the cities of Glendale, Burbank, and Pasadena through an analysis of the economic impact of commercial and residential real estate activity in the tri-city region.
