Your Immediate Help Is Needed
Tomorrow, Tuesday, September 29, the Glendale City Council will vote on a resolution in support of Proposition 15, the split roll initiative. Prop 15, if approved by the voters in November, will require commercial and industrial properties valued cumulatively at over $3 million to be taxed on market value rather than purchase price. (Residential properties would continue to be taxed on the purchase price as today) . This has the potential to cause increases in rents to small businesses already hurting badly from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Send the City Council an email right now. Tell them they should be supporting our city’s small businesses — not making it harder for them to stay afloat. Tell them to vote NO on the resolution and NO on Prop. 15.
