GAOR Annual Awards – Nomination Form

Greetings.  2020 had more in store for us than anything we could have anticipated.   It has been an evolutionary year that we are all weathering.  In these challenging times, we all have met the challenge to adapt and thrive.

As we begin to wrap up 2020, please consider nominating a REALTOR® member of GAOR who deserves one of the below awards that GAOR grants to our esteemed members and citizens. Please read below to find out the criteria for these important distinctions.

Nominations Are Due By October 30th!

The Categories Are…

The REALTOR® of the Year

A hero in the real estate profession who demonstrates the highest values and actions that embody the REALTOR® profession. They are faithful to the principles of the Association of REALTORS® and share those principles with everyone they meet. They are those from whom we learn what it is to be a professional in our industry: A true professional to clients, affiliates, and colleagues. Above all else, one who exemplifies the REALTOR® Code of Ethics.

Affiliate of the Year

A member who has been actively involved in the social outreach efforts of the Glendale Association of REALTORS®. Someone who has contributed their time and energy in supporting the Association’s community service initiatives.

Affiliate members sponsor or help secure sponsors for events, education, and the humanitarian efforts of the Association. This person also works side-by-side with the REALTOR® members to assist the consumer in fulfilling the American Dream of homeownership.

Citizen of the Year

A citizen to be recognized for outstanding service to the community. The Citizen of the Year personifies a true community spirit and a demonstrated willingness to “pitch-in” where ever and whenever needed to make a difference in the lives of citizens of their community.

The GAOR ‘Citizen of The Year’ Award honors an outstanding member of our community whose accomplishments exemplify the values and mission of professional social work. The award recipient is not a social worker. One who makes a significant contribution to a segment of our population at-risk or vulnerable in quality of life or social standing. A citizen who acts with courage, demonstrated outstanding leadership, exemplified social work, values, and ethics.
