Why Are Antelope Valley Properties Searchable on Redfin But Not On MATRIX?

Redfin is a nationwide broker that is a member of Greater Antelope Valley MLS and countless other MLS services.  That gives them the right to display their data.

For whatever reason, GAV doesn’t share their data with our local MLSs so we don’t have a source for their listings.  While we can’t see their data, their members can’t see listings from our local MLSs either.

When checked, there were Active Lancaster and Palmdale residential listings from CLAW, CRISNet, CRMLS, Matrix and VCRDS.  If they would share their data with the MLSs in our area, we would likely share our data with them.

My understanding is that a number of GAV members also belong to CRISNet to be able to access listings taken by our local members that cover Lancaster and surrounding areas.

It doesn’t appear that GAV provides their data to RPR but I did see it in FIND.  There is a link on your i-Tech Home Page for FIND.  You can use Redfin or Zillow as a data source, or FIND.

Keep in mind that in doing so, there is NOT an offer of compensation associated with any GAV MLS listing.  If you write an offer for one of their properties, you will need to negotiate a cooperating broker compensation agreement with the listing broker prior to presenting an offer.
