If an agent has an ‘exclusive’ can they market the property as ‘not in MLS’
A.
No. If it’s “not in MLS” then they cannot do any public marketing. “Exclusive” is a term we’re using to replace Open Houses, i.e. “exclusive showing” or whatever. If by “exclusive” the agent means a pocket listing, then they can only market it inside their office or with their personal pool of contacts.
