On the evening of December 7, GAOR will be hosting our annual CanTree holiday celebration. This is where we all have the opportunity to give back to our community. This year we are literally bringing back the Can Tree and will have our collection of can goods decorated and on full display at the Alex Theater. Please come to this honorable festive holiday tradition where there will be food, wine, and the Christmas spirit. If anyone knows of a colleague or a business that would like to sponsor our CanTree event, please reach out to David Kissinger at email@example.com. Buy Your Ticket on IMS THANKS TO OUR SPONSORS

With great sadness, the Glendale Association of REALTORS® mourns the loss of one of our cherished affiliate members. Aline Habeshian, Vice President and Senior Account Executive at ClearMark Title, lived a life of selfless giving. Aline lost her battle with cancer on the evening of June 8, 2021. Despite many months of treatments, Aline nonetheless remained busy and active and continued to show up for events and meetings at GAOR. She did not let illness slow her down or keep her away from her commitment to people and the activities she enjoyed. Aline has been an affiliate member of GAOR since 2011 and was our GAOR 2018 Affiliate Of The Year. She served as the Chair of GAOR’s Affiliates Committee in 2019 and over the years participated in planning several of our memorable member and community events. Aline surrounded herself with family and friends, love, and laughter. We hope that...

No story is too big, too small, or trivial. Any insight would be invaluable. Do you know anyone who mentored you in the Real Estate industry? Would they have a story to share? We thank the 52 members who showed up for GAOR’s first webinar. Your show of support for our distinguished panel who presented our concerns to Assm. Laura Friedman on Legislative Day was a BIG SUCCESS. Our GAOR representatives drove home two important issues, which C.A.R. supports, in regard to housing: Greg Astorian, GAOR Government Affairs Director Panel Facilitator Eddie Manisian SB6: State Senate Bill An act to amend Section 65913.4 of, and to add and repeal Section 65852.23 of, the Government Code, relating to land use. Senate Bill 6 enacts, until January 1, 2029, the “Neighborhood Homes Act,” which establishes a housing development project as an allowable use on a “neighborhood lot,” which is defined as a parcel within a commercial zone where office and retail uses are permitted, so long as the parcel is not adjacent to an industrial use. On October 23, GAOR helped sponsor a S.T.A.R. Kids outdoor movie night. They had an amazing night decorating pumpkins and watching Pixar’s Coco in the great outdoors. Per Steven Small, “It was great seeing the John Maghaguian of the Glendale ‘Youth & Family Services’ program along with the kids, officers, and everyone else!” This magical event took place at Pacific Park on the multipurpose field from 7-9 p.m. Pictured with the kids are the ‘Wish List’ gifts that GAOR donated. GAOR also provided all the pumpkins used for the kids to decorate. STAR Kids with Steven Small , John Maghaguian and Glendale PoliceSteven Small with John Maghaguian and Glendale Police Officer
