Annual Election of Officers – Now Accepting Applications

The Glendale Association of REALTORS® will hold its annual election for the 2022 Officers and Directors in a few short weeks. As shown on the schedule below, the election will take place – online only – over several days in June. GAOR will shortly send members detailed instructions for voting and participating in this important election.

The winners of the annual election will be announced by GAOR President Rick Bonyadi at the GAOR General Membership Meeting which will take place online on Friday, July 9, 2021.

Positions Open for Election for the 2022 GAOR Officers and Directors

  • President-Elect
  • Vice President
  • Treasurer
  • Board of Directors (four seats open)

The four Director positions are for two-year terms, while the Officer positions of President-Elect, Vice President, and Treasurer are for one year each. GAOR Election Timeline

May 14: Start accepting applications (open for 2 weeks)
May 28, 5:00 p.m.: Deadline for candidate applications;
(mailed applications must be postmarked by May 28 and received by June 2)
June 3-8: Nominating Committee to meet and review applications
June 9: Nominating Committee presents slate (4 weeks before the election)
June 9: Campaigning starts. GAOR will publish candidate statements
June 16: Deadline for Nominating by Petition (3 weeks before the election)
June 23: Announcement of any nominations by petition
June 23: Voting begins. Ballots emailed to members (14 days open)
June 23 and 30: Candidates introductions at weekly Caravan meetings
July 7, 5:00 p.m.: Election ends. Ballots received after this time will not be counted
July 8: Election Committee certifies the ballots
July 9, 9:30 a.m.: General Membership Meeting – Announce new Officers and Board

Voting

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, voting will take place via email only. You will receive an email with instructions and a link to click for casting your online ballot. You may vote only once for each open position; multiple votes cast may result in disqualification of your ballot. Votes received after 5:00 p.m. on July 7 will not be counted.

If you are interested in running for one of the open positions, please fill out this Nominating Form and submit it with your signature to GAOR no later than Friday, May 28 by 5:00 p.m.

If you prefer to mail your Nominating Form to GAOR…

it must be postmarked by May 28 and received at GAOR by June 2 or it will not be considered. GAOR cannot control mail delivery dates and we cannot guarantee when we will receive mailed forms. For this reason, you are urged to submit online instead.
